1st job I had was selling candy door to door which required a lot of walking.
I did that for 2 weeks & got $40 bucks commission which sucked, it didn’t seem worth it & didn’t make sense so I bought & stole candy from the supermarket to sell on my own on my bicycle after school & did great.
I don’t remember how much money I earned but the thing I didn’t know at the time & that I fully understand now was just how important it was to be able to knock on a strangers door at 13 years old in predominantly white neighborhoods & ask them to buy candy from me & how the “pain” inflicted by the constant “NO!” would disappear to the point where I don’t understand how ppl are afraid of the word😂
That’s something full “grown” adults can’t do & I’m grateful to my parents for moving us out of Nassau & into Suffolk because I wouldn’t have had that experience or many others if it weren’t for them.
Send your boys out to sell candy door to door so they don’t freak out & do something stupid like many do when a girl rejects them cause you learn that you’ll eventually get an enthusiastic YES after many No’s
