Maybe you could do a video on becoming a real estate agent in 2025. Is it worth it? Start up costs? How long would i be out of a job while getting my license? Etc.

    • @besart9740 says:

Took me abt 4-5 months to get my license, the course is a 40-60 hr course depending on your state. almost like a normal class, then you study, take the test, and once you pass you get all the extras you need, such as MLS and board memberships and stuff. CT is one of the more expensive states, but it cost me about 2k to go through the initial process, was out of work for maybe a month because I had decided to leave my other job, but you can do real estate part time with your job until you get off your feet, so you dont need to leave your other job. Hope that helps, I know other states are cheaper then CT, MA for example gives you the license for 200 bucks, but also like 80 bucks for the exam itself as well.

    • @leetjohnson says:

It’s always worth it, in my opinion. The cost is classes at first and books (about $500). Then, take the test. This can all be done while working (classes are online, test is in-person).

Once you hang your license with a broker, there may be desk fees ($50-150 a month), membership dues for your local realtor association (average about $200 a month) then you will want to have docusign ($25 a month) and lockboxes ($120) and signs (varies, but a few hundred dollars, rent the wood post/install from companies) and business cards. It really isn’t much commitment, but as Graham said, you need a great mentor/broker to get started.

Get a real job and learn a real trade. These people are scams

    • @mastyer0fReality says:

I’m good friends with one and I can tell you that to succeed in that industry you have to refuse to fail. Even if you’re parents and there friends buy houses the first couple years lots of those agents fail after the charity deals. You need to work hard and be creative, you need to get your face out there on bus stops whether you like it or not. And you have to be prepared to go into debt to do all that knowing you’re coming out on the other end with some commission and if you can’t stomach that maneuver do something else.

    • @dismayedtrinket2518 says:

If anyone wants to get into this business they need to google the turnover rate first.

  • @harold361 says:

If only people were willing to spend 3.5mil to make me feel good too😂

    • @elijah__ says:

Well he probably also liked the house 😂

    • @frankgriffiths9307 says:

People make it with hard work. I watched my dad move from Detroit, MI to the Marathon, FL. Saved all his pennies, made the move, got his real estate license 9 years ago, and just sold his largest listing at like 5.6 million🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

  • @ourgardeningchannel says:

Consistency is key to everything, especially fields where experience is the largest factor.

  • @fighterpimp says:

That is because most people have fucking bills they have to pay and don’t have free mommy and daddy money to provide for them.

    • @ZachSmith-e7w says:

He’s said a few times that his family wasn’t that well off. He was smart with his money and he didn’t give up. That’s why he’s so so successful.

    • @chunkemonke398 says:

He did mention he worked on rentals before his first sale, which in my experience felt like doing the same amount of work for an extremely low commission.

  • @affaefd4093 says:

You always look young, even in your mid 30s lol

  • @brockfuller2074 says:

Andrew Hales! The LAWFH guy! What a throwback. His videos were awesome back in the day

  • @canbeone7277 says:

How in the heck was he getting those listings as a brand-new realtor?? Smells super fishy.

  • @rb0460 says:

It’s an easy way to make money when you already have the money…

  • @BatMan-cq8gq says:

    Succeed is given not earned

  • @Iam....--.. says:

How did he manage to land a position where his FIRST house he’s been holding open houses for costed $3.5 MILLION USD as a BRAND NEW real estate agent at barely above 18 years old? Smells like nepotism

  • @thejoyofrolling says:

lmfao first sale is a million dollar property, gotta love silverspoons

    • @Viipxz says:

It’s LA, a 200 square foot metal shed is a million dollars

    • @perfectiondreamusa says:

@@Viipxzthis would have been 16 years ago. first house sold for 3.6 million in 2009 just after the housing market crash? if it sounds too good to be true…

  • @hatersgonnalovethis says:

What they glance over is not the selling the house, but to get the contract to be able to sell a house.
That’s the customers you have to focus on.

  • @generalaanxhi1790 says:

Where did you found a company that leta you sell a 3.6m house at 19 with no experience, most start by selling condos or small houses

  • @CodyManners says:

Is this something you can do on the side? How tf did you pay your bills and eat for that 8 months?

  • @chrismoreno7842 says:

All these people who don’t actually know grahams story 😢

  • @loui7210 says:

$200,000+ commission? That is crazy, very different from where I live. Max you could get in commission would be around $30,000.

  • @atn2666 says:
