At that point you either need a new life or to start over in a new country
It follows
The institution should be responsible for the loans if the person is under 24 and it’s out of state it is predatory lending and they should be held responsible for promoting a bs degree that would not make it up in the real world
The college doesn’t know if you’re using loans or not
At that point I’d literally just move to another country and maybe pay some of the principal balance to avoid completely robbing the school
The school is already paid. The loan servicer gets it bad 😂
Yet I couldn’t get a 10k business loan when I was 18.
Same man, literally went to all the banks in Canada to get a $10k loan for my business and got rejected by all in the first meeting.
@@bhuvneshbhardwaj3594 I was looking into getting a loan for buying a house here in Newfoundland. For context houses are usually around 250k starting out. You can get some for 200k, but its not that common especially closer to the capital.
Even while I was making 43k a year I wouldn’t be approved for a 250k loan. I would be approved for a 150k loan, but here you can’t even buy a fixer upper for that cost.
It’s so messed up because the interest on said loan would mean that after the 25 years is up, I’d be closer to paying back 600k instead of 250k, even if the inflation only took it to 450k. I can officially say F banks.
Should’ve told them you wanted to go to college.
I couldn’t get a credit card for credit building until 20
You can discharge private student loans just not state/federal
Sad.
Well, they’re 18 not a kid and they fall for the marking scheme of college and student loans
18 is still a kid because your brain fully develops at 25. Some people take longer than that to fully develop. You can’t even drink alcohol legally until you’re 21.
I didn’t know anything about money until I was like 25
@@hdrschmidt why did you wait that long to learn about the tool to buy and sell goods and services?
And I’m glad at least you’re learning now
@@jakehays8926 ok but one can and should understand what pro and cons. Especially towards a decision that people been prepping for, communicating for. prior to going to college.
I have never see this person in my life. Must not have been a very good show.
250k isn’t even that crazy there Arlene people with 500k out there. And You can absolutely bankrupt and discharge private student loans in fact I know someone who discharged 300k worth you can look these cases up many of them in Florida by a popular student loan lawyer.
School can be free or cheap via community college. What happened is the end of expecting adult behavior from legal adults. That’s parental and social sabotage.
What a great country we live in
Change name, change country, change name again.
In my country student debt is only paid when you are employed, it gets paused if you are unemployed and if you get to age 67-68 without paying it off it gets annulled.
Im happy people cant file bankruptcy on federal loans. Pay my tax dollars that were used for your schooling BACK to me and millions of Americans like me that pay the debt they owe
