Why not get a condo then?

    • @cybertrk says:

      More money than brains.

    • @DetPersc says:

@@cybertrk Pretty ingenious though. Buying a house to say that she could, then sold it for an ok profit. Living the single life in an apartment, she can last for quite a while and can move when she’s bored. Some people like to move more and don’t feel like they want to be in one spot for long. Then if she marries, the man has the house for her.

    • @HINATA13845 says:

Because she can pack up and move whenever she wants. Some people don’t want to hustle and own property and sell it, etc. that’s not the life she wants for herself

    • @alldopethings says:

Condos are not as low maintenance as people think. The issues she has with owning a house she would also have w a condo.

    • @pdxmusl1510 says:

      @@alldopethings

Agreed. And hsa are the literal wost. No hsa is good. All of them are bad.

  • @elliereenagonzalez says:

As a first time home buyer, I agree with her 100%. Owning a house is trash.

    • @Getshartedon says:

      Why you will stay broke😂

    • @elliereenagonzalez says:

@Getshartedon  bruv i alr got the house. ykw will keep u broke? home maintenance.

    • @sam.lipchutz says:

I’ve had an apartment for 5 years and I’ve saved 100k just by budgeting and working overtime. I also live right across the street from work so I’ve saved allot from not having car payments, insurance, gas, maintenance. If I had a roommate or roommates to split the rent I’d have 200k right now. But I don’t really even need the money I’m happy with my life at this level

    • @elliereenagonzalez says:

@sam.lipchutz  you are living my dream life rn. When i moved for work, my dad pressured me into buying since “I had the money.” “Had” is a great word, because its gone now. Maintenance, repairs, pest control, security, etc. for this home has wiped my savings and left me broke. I think people underestimate how much it actually costs to live in a home- and i live in a TINY home, so imagine a family home. Congrats on making good decisions, I hope to follow in your footsteps soon.

  • @tomfitz1546 says:

She probably used a realtor that picked someone that was going to use it as a rental and promised to make the realtor the property manager to convince the owner it was a good price she was getting

    • @koki328 says:

That’s illegal, realtors are fiduciaries and have the legal obligation to act in a manner which benefits the client. If this happened to her, she would have a very easy court case. Plus being a property manager and realtor are two completely different fields, there may have been some underhanded play, but not in the way you described. She seems to be simply ignorant about real estate, though her agent should have helped her so some of the fault is alleviated from her.

    • @colemanclay1500 says:

@@koki328Absolutely correct. I am a licensed real estate agent and it’s very illegal to act in that manner. This is highly unlikely.

    • @koki328 says:

@@colemanclay1500 that’s awesome! I’m thinking about becoming an appraiser and real estate investor myself. Any tips?

  • @ad_victoriam69 says:

The only reason a home works out for most people is because you end up wanting the space, freedom, and peace of mind for your children.

    • @petchlnwzaaa says:

This. If you own the house at least you still have place to stay when you lose your income. Renting is good until you struggled and they kick you out on top of that

  • @Meme-ci5uu says:

I ain’t no millionaire, home owner or genius but why not keep the house rent it out, rent the apartment you wanna live in and just find a good trusted maintenance guy or company to keep on deck in case something needs repair at the your rental rental property

  • @mmartin8877 says:

Yup, been telling all my guys that. Going on 4 years of spend spend, fix fix, buy tools, learn to do XYZ. Whyyyy God 😢

  • @Hitora_San says:

I love how in the US you can sell cardboard houses for almost a million dollars.

You know what people buy with an own house? Privacy and security
What you don’t need as a sole person is three bedrooms, five bathrooms and a three car garage…

She should have rented 2/3 of her house or all of it instead of selling.

  • @cereal76 says:

All my friends that own houses, all they ever talk about is the upkeep and repairs. Meanwhile I’m renting in a much more desirable part of town and investing the difference in what I’d pay if I had a mortgage. I can lock the front door and take off on a vacation without a second thought. I love renting.

    • @Jack-vo6bu says:

This is true, but if you were to get a mortgage on a reasonable house the payments would be smaller, it depends on where you want to live, but my mortgage on my house Is literally half of what it would cost to rent it, and I also invest the difference!

    • @cairnethunderhoof6225 says:

      Anecdotal cope

    • @SARGENTDOODLE says:

If you are a renter you only make landlord like me rich. Hopefully more people take up renting and being a landlord of apartments will be even bigger gold mines

  • @franknewman1587 says:

    Finally someone famous who understands!!!😢

  • @AdamWilliams-k1o says:

What’s truly crazy is, once you read Invisible Laws of Prosperity by Oliver Pierce you realize how blinded you were, but it’s never too late. That book has some serious knowledge

  • @jeretso says:

The key is to get a landlord like Graham who does not raise rent. Then invest your rental savings. Unfortunately most americans have credit card debt and will just waste their rental saving then 30 years later be broke.

  • @alldopethings says:

People should do what makes them feel their best.

  • @taylordoom6928 says:

Self awareness is a beautiful thing

  • @Chery869 says:

Owning and maintaining a home 🏡 is truly not for the weak.

  • @mk3ric13 says:

I’m a mortgage broker and my own clients get so confused when I tell them I don’t own a home. They almost don’t even want to work with me lol. But I feel the same way. I’ll take the cheaper cost of living, nicer neighborhood, no maintenance, no upkeep, and put the difference I’m saving into IRA, S&P, high yield accounts. I can move around when I want, if I lose my job I don’t have to worry about losing my home because I don’t own one. I feel so free without that anchor in my life!!

But if you have kids, have 0 plans to ever leave the city you live in, then yeah, it makes sense to buy a home.

  • @Ndasuunye says:

her experience is different from the rest because for the rest they have family, they have limited income and they don’t have the lifestyle or funds to deal with constant rent increases. jennette is so wealthy, rent is like pennies for her. and she gets the luxury of not worrying about fixing ish.

  • @blessedpapa says:

So renters are happier than landlords? I think in general that is not true at all.

  • @JT3o says:

Perfectly reasonable reason not to buy a house. It is A LOT of work to own property and renting is a lot less head ache.

  • @JoshuaGriffin88 says:

    A genius, she is not.
